Academic & Service Scholarships
We are committed to serving the needs of the Almaden Valley community and those of greater San Jose through funds raised at our annual fundraiser – the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival. Every year, some of the proceeds from our festival are donated as Academic & Service Scholarships to graduating seniors living in Almaden Valley. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and community service.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
High school seniors graduating in the current academic year
High school seniors enrolled for fall of the upcoming academic year as a full time student in an accredited college, university, community college or trade school
Students who have a minimum GPA of 3.3
Students who reside in the 95118, 95120 or 95123 zip code areas.
Completed applications must be postmarked and in our P.O. Box by April 1st.
Applications are reviewed by our Scholarship Committee in April.
Notifications letters are mailed to all Scholarship Recipients by the end of April.
Scholarship Recipients agree to attend the Almaden Valley Women's Club Scholarship and Logo Award Ceremony to be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Almaden Community Center to receive their scholarship award. No Awards will be mailed. Your attendance is mandatory. Families and friends are also invited to attend.
